I AM A GROANER!!

Overwhelmed to say the least! I am having trouble with transfering my knowledge from only observations in general education specials because I am a special education teacher in a self contained class with no ELL's. But not just my circumstances, but the load!  This weeks assignment really took the breath out of me because I thought I would be able to get work done this week on Task #2 but it took me most of the week to complete this weeks assignment and read the PDF material. Now I am STRESSING...

    Welcome to the club, Doris :) You can come borrow one of my super sweet EL children and they will talk your ears off and then hug you goodbye. That always cheers me up! Other than that, I'm ready to work on this super hard starting Sunday. Good luck to you!

    I am sure it would be hard to complete these assignments when you don't work with ELLs during the day. I am not sure I would be able to understand as well. I agree that the paper that we just had to do was really stressful and complicated. I was hoping it would be quick so that I could work on Task #2. Luckily I have a day off next week so I know what I will be working on!

    Yes, I agree with the stress. I did spend a long time on this weeks. I couldn't get my laptop to power up on MLK day so I was freaked out. Then I cut my thumb pretty bad and was bleeding on my mouse to my dinosaur home computer that was pretty useless because it's so old.
    But, somehow it got done.

    Hello Doris, I am in agreement with you, this has been a difficult task. I'm in general education and I am running into issues as well. I have been able to pick up bits and pieces, but I find myself facing challenges as well. Hopefully we can all put our heads together and get through it all – with us becoming better educators as well as our students becoming more proficient academically/language wise:)

    Doris, I'm with you. The assignment for this past week took me FOREVER! Linguistics is very confusing to me, and especially when planning a lesson for a class with 4 different languages and English to take into account.
