Kristin Neely- warning- this is mostly groans!
Not to be a Debby Downer, but I've had a crappy week! My grandma passed away, my students were out of control, we had the reflection 4 due for this class (which I may or may not have understood completely), plus a ton of stuff going on at my school. I'm very stressed! I have done my recording and transcribing with my student, but hoping to work on the tasks when I get back in town from the funeral. I hope that all of you are farther along than I am and can send some positive vibes my way. :)

Sorry again about your Grandma!
ReplyDeleteIts been a crazy week for me too. These short weeks are killer with young children. I don't know why! You and I have accomplished about the same amount of work on our tasks. I hope I am just making it harder than it is and once I sit down and work I will feel better.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your grandma and your students. This has truly been a challenging week for me as well. Not to mention it seems like I have not accomplished a thing. I am trying to decide which activity to use and how to fully comprehend everything - I pray all gets better real soon. Hopefully, when we meet we’ll all get a chance to brainstorm and work through our concerns.
DeleteLadies, I can completely agree. What a week, but Kristin, I am very sorry about your Grandma. I think what Courtney says is true and maybe we are worrying too much - I hope. I am not as far along as I would like to be, mostly because of things due at school and trying to have those done. I will burn some midnight oil and get it done though! Good luck to all.

ReplyDeleteSorry about your Grandma, you helped me put things into perspective though. We tend to get so caught up in our own little world that we don't look outside of it and see what we are missing, time with our families, cause you don't know when they won't be around anymore, especially the elderly. Hope you have many fond memories to rely upon! We will survive, how's that for good vibes!
Kristin, so sorry about your grandma. Hang in there! I think this Linguistics class and its tasks has been rough on all of us! I just keep saying to myself that no matter what I am not quitting. It'll all get done.
ReplyDeleteKristin, so sorry for the loss of your grandmother. I agree with all the other ladies that short weeks seem to be harder than a full week. My children were all out of sorts. I am not very far along with my task 2 and feeling frustrated. I so don't get Linguistics but I feel like Thursday Illuminate helped me alot with what I can put in my paper.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. January is such a difficult month in general. We are all with you, treading water, trying to keep our heads up. Take care!
